The international Cooltra Group is setting up its scootersharing service in Paris. The company’s ambition is to deploy a fleet of 2,000 scooters in Paris by September 2021. The vehicles are made by the Italian brand Askoll and are distinguished by their large tyres, which offer greater driving stability. In addition, they have a speed limit of 45km/h for greater safety. Cooltra also offers two helmets for the driver and passenger in sizes L and M.

Cooltra’s scootersharing service allows anyone over the age of 18 with a driving licence to rent a scooter nearby. The scooters are available for scotersharing 24/7 in Paris Intra-muros.

Cooltra has set up a 100% digital reservation system, with no code to enter, no keys, no terminals, no recharging, and therefore complete autonomy! Nothing could be easier to start a Cooltra scooter! Users just have to swipe up from the application to start the journey.

To use Cooltra scooters, it is necessary to simply download the application. It is free and can be downloaded from the Apple store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery. Registration is free and without obligation.

Using the service is quick and easy: you select the nearest vehicle in the app, book it and once you want to start the journey, you activate the scooter from the app itself, without needing an unlocking code.

From the application, the user reserves the scooter of their choice, and has 15 minutes free access to it. Within the Cooltra app, a feature allows the user to locate the scooter if they don’t see it by pressing the ‘BEEP-BEEP’ button and the horn will sound. Once the scooter is located, the user must unlock the scooter through the application and click on “Helmet” to access the 2 helmets provided by Cooltra. Before completing the journey, the user must upload a photo of the scooter, thus certifying that the scooter is parked and in good condition.
