Cooltra, Europe\u2019s leading sustainable mobility company, manages Baik<\/strong>, the new municipal e-bike rental service in Manresa. Driven by the Manresa City Council, the project aims to transform urban mobility and make everyday trips cleaner, more accessible, and more comfortable across the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

The City Council presented the first Baik e-bikes this Thursday in an event that showcased the fleet and marked the official start of the pre-registration campaign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Baik will launch with an initial fleet of 200 e-bikes<\/strong>, available for both short-term rentals and long-term subscriptions. The first units will be ready in March 2026<\/strong>, offering a new benchmark for anyone looking for a clean, easy, and sustainable alternative to private transport.<\/span><\/p>\n

A pioneering project in Spain funded by Next Generation EU<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n


With an overall budget of \u20ac590,000<\/strong>, the Baik service is financed through the Sustainable Tourism Plans in Destination<\/strong> from the European Next Generation<\/strong> funds, managed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the Government of Catalonia. It is one of the most innovative sustainable mobility projects in Spain, awarded to Cooltra through a public tender.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cooltra operates Baik under a two-year renewable contract<\/strong>, strengthening Manresa\u2019s commitment to a more efficient and environmentally friendly model of urban mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two e-bike rental options tailored to life in Manresa<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Baik will offer two options designed to meet the needs of residents, students, workers and visitors:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Short-term rental<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

Perfect for getaways, tourism, or visits around the Bages area, with rentals available for up to one week.<\/span>
In collaboration with Manresa Turisme<\/strong>, Baik e-bikes will also be part of new guided tours, making it easier to explore the city in a comfortable, sustainable way.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Long-term subscription<\/span><\/h4>\n

A well-established model in countries like France, now available for the first time in a Spanish municipality.<\/span>
Designed for people who live, work or study in Manresa, this option allows monthly or annual e-bike subscriptions for up to two years.<\/span>
It includes maintenance, regular check-ups, and a replacement e-bike if repairs are needed. The service will soon open an operational base in Pla\u00e7a Bages<\/strong>, which will act as a customer support point, workshop and logistics hub.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cooltra strengthens its B2G division with sustainable mobility solutions for cities<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Winning the Baik tender boosts the growth of Cooltra\u2019s B2G<\/strong> area, focused on sustainable mobility solutions for public administrations. This is the first B2G contract for the company.<\/span>
The project positions Manresa as a benchmark in municipal e-bike rental, promoting a more efficient, healthier city aligned with Europe\u2019s ecological transition goals.<\/span><\/p>\n
